Let’s start with a bit about Huboo. Founded in 2017, Huboo has made a name for itself by offering simple, reliable, and high-quality multichannel fulfilment solutions. Their primary focus is on small businesses and SMEs. As they expanded their services, their innovative model attracted businesses from various industries worldwide. Huboo’s emphasis on user-friendly software and flexible business models has allowed them to deliver exceptional self-serve solutions to their customers.

A three-way Sap & GoCardless integration

Huboo had a specific need: they wanted a software integration to integrate their proprietary software with SAP Business ByDesign and GoCardless. Here’s a bit about these systems:

Proprietary Billing System: This is a custom software solution developed by Huboo to manage billing and product usage.
SAP Business ByDesign: This is an enterprise resource planning system used by Huboo for comprehensive business activity management, invoicing, and accounting.
GoCardless: This is a managed payment solution that handles secure and routine billing for companies.

The goal was to enhance efficiency, automate invoicing and payment processes, and reduce manual administrative work by integrating these three systems seamlessly.

The Rixxo solution

Rixxo took on the challenge and delivered a solution that tackled several key aspects:

Transferring Invoices: Rixxo developed a middleware solution that enabled the automatic transfer of client-generated invoices from Billing Spa to SAP Business ByDesign at defined intervals. This solution also allowed Huboo to review and validate the invoices before submission, ensuring accuracy and efficient invoicing.
Managing Payments: Rixxo facilitated the retrieval of open invoices from SAP Business ByDesign within a specified period, enabling Huboo to charge customers using GoCardless. Through the middleware, invoices were seamlessly processed, payments were attempted via GoCardless, and successful payments were reconciled in SAP Business ByDesign. In case of chargebacks, the middleware listened for notifications from GoCardless and marked them in SAP Business ByDesign for reconciliation.

The Result

The result? A game-changer for Huboo. Their billing processes were automated, payment management was streamlined, and they saw significant time and cost savings.
